SecondMuse is building a network of social innovation\r\necosystem development programs in Indonesia and within the region, focusing on ocean\r\nissues. We are looking for a (Senior) Associate to join our Ocean Plastic Prevention\r\nAccelerator (OPPA) program. This position is based in Surabaya and will report\r\nto the OPPA Program Manager. The initial employment period is 3 months with the\r\npossibility of extending to a 1 year contract upon satisfactory performance.

For the past 10 years, SecondMuse has collaborated\r\nwith visionary governments, corporations, foundations and startups to build 21st-century\r\neconomies. What\r\nwill you do?

1. \r\nPlanning and implementation of OPPA\r\nprogram initiatives: Independently create a work plan for the implementation of\r\ninitiatives with support and input from other team members and the program manager

2. \r\nIdentifying opportunities: Think\r\ncreatively about how to leverage emerging opportunities for the implementation of\r\nprogram initiatives, share your ideas with the team, and take responsibility for integrating them into your plan

3. \r\nStakeholder network development:\r\nImplement initiatives that lead to stronger\r\nconnection of stakeholders in the waste management sector in Greater Surabaya

4. \r\nBudget planning: Plan required financial\r\nresources for the implementation of program initiatives

5. \r\nPartnership development: Develop\r\npartnerships for the implementation of program initiatives by attending events and\r\nnetworking opportunities

6. \r\nUndertake the day-to-day activities\r\nof the OPPA program initiatives in Surabaya, including communicating with multiple\r\nstakeholders to understand their needs, supporting programming, and organizing key\r\nevents.

3. \r\nResearch: Desk research and communication\r\nwith representatives of other

4. \r\nSecondMuse projects to identify\r\nbest practices

5. \r\nEvent management: Organisation and\r\ncoordination of OPPA program events

Who’s\r\nright for the job?

If you’re one kind of Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, or Gatot\r\n Kaca who can zap\r\naway all the plastics from the ocean and from this planet, then you will definitely be on the next superhero movie.

But you don’t have to be a superhero to join\r\nus, you only need to:

1. \r\nHave a strong competency to translate\r\nhigh-level concepts and ideas into real action

2. \r\nHave strong analytical and problem-solving\r\nskills

3. \r\nHave extensive experience and a\r\nhigh-level capacity to coordinate stakeholders with diverse interests

4. \r\nBe eager to learn something new,\r\ncan deal with ambiguity and consider multiple perspectives and possible solutions

This\r\njob is definitely NOT for you if you:

1. \r\nAren’t fluent in Bahasa Indonesia,\r\nboth oral and written, and not eager to learn\r\nEast

2. \r\nJava community characteristics

3. \r\nDon’t have intermediate English\r\ncommunication skills

4. \r\nHave no extensive experience in\r\nproject management, planning and implementation.

5. \r\nIdeally, you have 2-5 years work experience and show evidence of a minimum\r\nof 2-3 years experience in independently\r\nimplementing project plans and budgets

6. \r\nHave never worked in a highly collaborative team environment

7. \r\nDo not see diversity as the strength of the team

8. \r\nAre not an Indonesian citizen

Even\r\nbetter, if you already know:

1. \r\nHuman-centered design principles

2. \r\nInnovation methodologies such as hackathons, business accelerators, incubation,\r\ncollaborative design and challenges

3. \r\nPlastic and waste management sector\r\nin Indonesia

4. \r\nKnow about operational processes\r\nwithin large NGOs, government institutions or corporates

5. \r\nWorking environments of virtual\r\nteams distributed across different locations
