About Our Client
\r\nOur client is a leading aquaculture company located in Medan.

\r\nJob Description

1. \r\nManage all activities of the Quality\r\nAssurance/Food Safety department in a manner which results in consistent food\r\nsafety results as measured through the company matrix and regulatory mandates.

2. \r\nDevelop, document and implement Quality Assurance\r\nand HACCP processes/ procedures to monitor incoming raw materials, in-process\r\nand finished products to ensure compliance to all regulatory and company\r\nrequirements and specifications

3. \r\nEnsure that the Quality Assurance department is\r\nproperly organised, staffed and trained to meet and achieve plant and\r\ndepartmental goals

4. \r\nPerform as plant contact person for sales and\r\ncustomer issues

5. \r\nManage the activities of the Quality Assurance\r\ndepartment in a manner that keeps plant and upper management fully informed on\r\nany issues and assists in achieving quality/food safety goals

6. \r\nDevelop a professional working relationship and\r\nact as a plant liaison with USDA staff.

7. \r\nEnforce corporate food safety and quality\r\nprograms and maintain the required documentation and provide continuing\r\neducation of plant associates as required.

The Successful\r\nApplicant

1. \r\nBachelor of Science or Engineering degree from\r\nfour-year university

2. \r\nAt least four to five years related experience\r\nand/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. \r\nAt least three years of working experience as a\r\nQA Manager in food industry

4. \r\nKnowledge and understanding of food processing\r\nrequired

5. \r\nMust have or complete certification status as\r\nCertified Food Safety Manager or equivalent.

6. \r\nUnderstanding of management principles and team\r\nconcepts.

7. \r\nUnderstanding of further processing is a plus
