The Strategic Marketing Manager is accountable for leading\r\nthe development and implementation of Cargill Aqua Nutrition (“CQN”) Malaysia\r\nand Indonesia (“MYID”) cluster’s business strategy and strategic marketing plan\r\nbased on customer segmentation, with customer intimacy as key value\r\nproposition. The Strategic Marketing Manager is responsible for\r\nleading/developing the strategic marketing staff and is a member of the CQN\r\nMYID business leadership team.
The role requires the leader to be passionate about Aqua\r\nnutrition business, be agile to capture opportunities in fast-changing\r\nenvironment, be comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity, have the ability to\r\nmove between strategy and tactical execution, and have a proven track record\r\ninfluencing business performance, marketing and strategy areas.
30% Business\r\nStrategy and Strategic Marketing
1. \r\nTogether with the Managing Director, develop and\r\nimplement strategic marketing plans for customer opportunities identified in\r\nthe strategy work and drive the business strategy development focusing on where\r\nto play, how to win, M&A and capabilities to meet business growth targets\r\nin line with CAN and CQN global strategy, and partner with leadership team to\r\nensure strategic priority and change are successfully embraced and executed
2. \r\nAccountable for developing and implementing\r\ncountry go-to-market plan that includes species/product portfolio strategy and\r\ninnovation (new product service solution) pipeline from global and local\r\ncapabilities
3. \r\nPartner with Sales team to lead customer\r\nsegmentation and incorporation into daily business activities, identify\r\ncustomer unmet needs and develop offerings to increase customer intimacy
4. \r\nLead key strategic initiatives for CQN MYID
25% Product\r\nManagement and New Product, Service & Solution (“NPSS”)
1. \r\nResponsible for CQN MYID product portfolio\r\n(SKUs, value proposition, pricing strategy) to increase profitability and\r\nbusiness results
2. \r\nOwn the NPSS (product and service innovation)\r\ndevelopment process and pipeline with strong collaboration with Commercial,\r\nOperations, and Technology teams
3. \r\nAccountable for key NPSS project deliverables,\r\nlaunching plan (7Ps) and its financial results
4. \r\nMonitor, track and improve the NPSS process for\r\nefficiency, clarity, accountability and speed to market
25% Tactical\r\nMarketing
1. \r\nLead the tactical marketing plans for the\r\nbusiness with respect to developing the offering defined in strategic marketing\r\nplans (7P) while closely partnering with technology teams as well as\r\ncommercial teams across the region to deliver the financial results.
2. \r\nDevelop tactical marketing capabilities and\r\nmanage marketing budget & spending efficiency
3. \r\nLead and oversee the team developing the right\r\ncommunication tools to drive the marketing strategy (Video, digital, trade\r\nshow, press etc.) and manage the budget
10% Talent and\r\nCapabilities
1. \r\nDevelop marketing capabilities along with\r\nidentifying skills required to serve the target customer segments. Be actively\r\nengaged in the recruiting, hiring, coaching, supervising, and developing of\r\nmarketing staff for the animal nutrition business
2. \r\nLead the team resource and budget
3. \r\nProvide clarity on roles & responsibilities\r\nand vision for the individual and team development
10% Collaboration
1. \r\nPartner with other marketing leaders and\r\ntechnology leaders across Animal Nutrition & Health (Strategic Marketing\r\nManagers, global SMT teams), and within Cargill. Build\r\nrelationships, establishing a proven track record in serving the business,\r\ndrafting best practices, gaining insight on new opportunities, and providing\r\nthe “voice of the customer”
2. \r\nPartner with multi-function for system and\r\nprocess enhancement such as pricing. Build market intelligent system for\r\nindustry, customer and competitor info, collaborating with sales team and\r\ndevelop perspective in market trend changes
Qualifications
Essential Functions /\r\nRequirements
1. \r\nCommitted to within country and regional\r\nbusiness travel of 20-30% of time

Eductions, Experiences and Skills (Minimum requirements)
1. \r\nBachelor’s degree in an agricultural or business\r\ndiscipline or equivalent experience in business.
2. \r\nMin 8 to 10 years of working experience. 3+\r\nyears strategic/tactical marketing experience, developing a go to market\r\nstrategy, leveraging customer insight
3. \r\nExperience in developing and growing a business
4. \r\nExperience and proven success in strategic\r\nmarketing expertise, along with leading strategic projects to impact the\r\nbusiness financial results
5. \r\nExperience in fiduciary responsibility,\r\nincluding budgets, expenses, or pricing
